In a mixing bowl, combine half a red onion (finely diced), a small red chilly (seeded and chopped), 3 ripe tomatoes (roughly chopped), the juice of a lime and season them to taste. This mixture can be made a few hours before serving and left in the fridge.
When ready to serve or eat, peel, stone and chop two medium avocados and add them to the mix along with some coriander or dill.
Spread the mixture evenly on the toasted buns and eat immediately.
